Synopsis
The Buy More staff is playing the Dreidel game and Lester is cheating his co-workers by playing it wrong. Casey catches Chuck watching the parking lot and tells him Sarah is late, maybe she left with Bryce. Morgan suspects Anna is cheating on him, he spied on her in a car with another guy.
Chuck is sent to Marina Del Rey with Jeff and Lester for a job on a boat. Sarah’s alarm goes off in her apartment, she had a rough night and throws the knife under her pillow to pierce her alarm clock. At the Marina, Chuck finishes setting up the yacht for remote operation. Jeff goes the wrong way to the head, and they stumble on a counterfeit money operation onboard the boat.
Chuck flashes on the money and realizes they are helping a criminal. He takes the information to Beckman and Graham for he and Casey to be briefed but Sarah hasn’t arrived to work yet. When she does walk in there is definite tension in the room.
The team is assigned to investigate Lon Kirk and his connections to the counterfeit operation. Chuck and Sarah will go as a couple. Chuck asks Sarah about joining Bryce, and she tells him she has a job to do, and they will leave her place at 8pm.
The Buy More holiday party rules are reviewed but Morgan is moping. Anna tells him she was with her parents. Morgan guilts her into letting him meet them.
Chuck arrives at Sarah’s apartment for the mission. She again emphasizes their time together is work. At the casino for Lon Kirk’s fundraiser, Chuck gambles away $100,000 by accident and is upset that Sarah is cozying up to Lon Kirk. Casey emphasizes that Chuck owes the CIA and Sarah is just doing her job. When Sarah drives Chuck home he discovers she is meeting Kirk the next day on his boat, alone, to find out more information.
The next morning, Chuck watches Casey cleaning his Crown Vic automobile. It is his dream car and has many additions. Chuck asks about Sarah’s mission on Kirk’s boat. Casey implies that she will be seducing Kirk.
Morgan’s lunch with Anna’s parents starts poorly and he then puts on a show to impress them. He also spots Sarah on Kirk’s boat and calls Chuck to report the physical nature of their date.
Chuck hurries to the Marina to see what is going on but is intercepted by Casey, who shows him all the backup Sarah has so she doesn’t need Chuck to interfere. When Chuck sees Sarah on the boat with Kirk he flashes on the crates on deck. Assuring Casey that the crates contain the counterfeit plates, the boat is raided but no plates are found.
Sarah goes to Chuck’s apartment to question him about the raid. She accuses him of interrupting the mission because of jealousy. He responds by questioning her about the kiss. She tells him it was a mistake and won’t happen again.
Morgan and Anna come back to the Buy More the next day, they are going out again with Anna’s parents on a boat. Chuck tells Morgan it wasn’t Sarah he saw at lunch.
Beckman reprimands Casey and Sarah for the mistaken raid on Kirk’s boat. Sarah defends Chuck to Beckman and Graham, but they ground the team. Casey asks Sarah again if she compromised herself with the asset. She tells him she will talk to Chuck and fix the situation or ask for reassignment.
While moping over photos of Sarah, Chuck gets a text from Morgan with a photo from the boat. He sees the crates and flashes; Morgan and Anna are in danger. When Casey refuses to help him, he convinces Sarah that he is right. When they arrive at the Marina to stop the boat, Casey joins them as he didn’t want to miss out.
Chuck spots a GPS device on the boat, and they realize it will be attacked. Sarah and Chuck create a diversion for Casey to board, and they overtake his armed crew, but Kirk is able to launch a rocket.
Realizing the rocket is guided, Chuck reprograms the controller using the GPS coordinates for Casey’s Crown Vic to save everyone’s lives.
The holiday party is on at the Buy More. Lester is still scamming his co-workers. Anna and Morgan agree to be themselves. Sarah arrives, she and Chuck agree that they aren’t good at relationships but are good at their jobs. They need to stabilize their relationship, as just friends.
Beckman calls Casey to tell him the new Intersect computer will be ready soon and he will still have the same job to do when that happens (eliminating Chuck).
