314 - Chuck Vs. The Honeymooners
Chuck and Sarah on the Train
We find Chuck and Sarah on a train from Paris to Zurich. It is a European train with sleeper cars, even though the trip normally takes about 8 hours.
The train sequences were filmed at the Former Fillmore and Western Railway train yard in located at 351 Santa Clara St. in Fillmore, Ca, located about 45 miles from Burbank. The train company, which used to operate sightseeing trains in the local area as well as providing trains for TV anf film productions, closed down in 2012. Here is a aerial shot of the train yard in March of 2023 vs. April of 2011. The current shot shows no trains on those tracks where the earlier shot shows the train on the right side of the yard. This was primarily the train used in the episode.
There are three train cars seen in this episode. The first is a car with sleeping compartments. This car is currently unidentified. It could be just a set or a real car. But as can be seen, the ceiling design resembles the two other cars. One is a dining car and the other is a passenger car.
Chuck and Sarah in the Dining Car
After Chuck and Sarah seem to spend a great deal of time in their compartment, they venture out to the dining car where, they spy a bad guy.
The dining car is part of the Fillmore and Western Railway collection. It appears to be this dining car judging by the light fixtures and the wallpaper border. The car is dressed for the show.
Chuck Climbs Out to the Roof of the Rail Car
After Chuck and Sarah return to their compartment after discovering the ETA Basque terrorist, they spring into spy mode. But not together, but separately. Sarah says she is going for ice cream and Chuck must go out the train window and up to the roof in order not to get caught.

Casey and Morgan Track Down Chuck at Train Station
Casey and Morgan are charged to find Chuck and Sarah. Morgan knows that Chuck needs cream for his eczema. So he gets it filled at a french pharmacy (not likely) and he buys a comic book in a french train station ( also not likely).
The train station shown is actually the Madrid Atocha train station, located in southeast Madrid, Spain. A bit far from Lyon, France.
Casey And Morgan Board the Train
Beckman orders Casey to find Chuck and Sarah and bring them back to the U.S. He takes Morgan along. They are attempting to board train cars at the Fillmore and Western train yard.
Morgan Meets Agent Disguised as a Canadian
Morgan walks down the passenger car when he spies a young lady sporting a scarf with a Cnadian maple leaf. He tries to engage her in conversation, but he rebuffs him.
The passenger car is again located on the Fillmore and Western Railway train yard. It’s interior is dressed to look like the other cars on the train
Casey, Juan, Chuck and Sarah Exit the Train
The team chases Juan off the train and Casey grabs him. They are located at the small train station located on the F&W Railway train lot.
They are in a town called Pündtün, which is supposed to be German, which would mean they traveled to the north of Freiburg, Switzerland, where the german-speaking part of Switzerland begins.
Chuck Talks to General Beckman
After the Team leaves the train, they find a telephone booth where Chuck calls General Beckman. Now there are a few things about this scene that are strange. Firstly, they are supposed to be in the German part of Switzerland in a town called Pündtün. However, the church pictured is St. Paul’s Reformed Church in Strasbourg, France. The team to the right of the church are actually on the Warner Brothers lot, CGI’d in the picture as is the collblestone street. Secondly, if they are in the the german part of Switzerland, telephone in swiss-german is Delifon. Telefon is high german.
The team is standing next to the phone booth while Chuck speaks to General Beckman. As shown, the scene takes place on French Street on the WB lot. The church and cobblestone road are all CGI’d into the scene. The blue awning has been removed.
The team Outside the Cafe
After Chuck runs out of money fpr the pay phone, they are about to stop into a cafe to discuss their plans. This external shot takes place in a different part of the Warner Brothers backlot, located on Midwest St. You may notice this was the same spot as Sarah and Bryce were standing in 203 – Chuck Vs. the Breakup.
Team Discusses Chuck and Sarah's Future in Cafe
The team ends up with Juan in a cafe debating Chuck and Sarah’s future with the CIA with Juan acting as mediator. When the Chuck and Sarah decide to leave, they head back to the train station. The cafe appears to be on Midwest street to the right of the establishing shot shown above.
Chuck and Sarah Arrive Back at the Cafe on a Motor Scooter
After Chuck and Sarah find out they drugged the real Interpool agents, they return to the cafe on a motor scooter handcuffed together. They are currently on French Street and smash through the window of the cafe, located on Midwest Street, around the corner from French Street.

Chuck and Sarah crash through the window of the cafe with the motor scooter. This is the same cafe as the team was in.

Chuck and Sarah on the Pacific Coast Highway+
The episode opens without the usual recap, but Morgan describing his bosses, Chuck and Sarah, while they are all driving on the Pacific Coast Highway, outside of Malibu, Ca. Chuck is in a 1978 Ferrari 308 GTS. Sarah, driving next to him is in a 1974 Porsche 911 Targa. Were they really driving on the PCH? No, they are located in a studio with a simulation called Driving Plates. They are usually a 360 degree view of the road projected on screens or CGI’d in after the fact.
Chuck and Sarah Meet the Turners at Otto Van Vogel's House for Party
After meeting Craig and Laura Turner, the CIA role model spy couple, they are to accompany them on a mission and observe.
They are going to the house of Otto Van Vogel. The exterior of the house is the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, located in Miami, Florida. Also used as the exterior of Von Hayes Mansion in 203 – Chuck Vs The Breakup.
Ellie and Devon in African Jungle
Ellie and Devon headed to Africa to be part of the Doctors Without Borders organization to provicde medical assistance to the people of Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Of course, they are not in the DRC, but in the jungle of the Warner Brothers backlot.
315 - Chuck Vs. The Tooth
Chuck and Morgan Go to the Opera
Chuck sees that the President of Zamibia is in Los Angeles and thinks that the he will be assasinated at an opera concert. Morgan and Chuck get dressed up to attend the concert to prevent the assassination.
The initial shot of the concert hall is the Segerstrom Center for the Arts located at 600 Town Center Dr. in Costa Mesa, CA .
Chuck and Morgan See the President of Zamibia in His Opera Box
As Chuck and Morgan settle into their seats at theopera, they turn around to see the President of Zamibia standing in his opera box with the flag below. This is also in the balcony of the Segerstrom Center for the Arts.
Ellie meets Justin in Burbank
After Ellie and Devon return from Africa due to Devon’ss “illness,” Ellie is surprised to see Justin and he convinces her to meet with him. This scene is filmed on the Warner Brothers back lot in front of the patio area adjacent to the Bridge Building, which acts as the Westside Medical Center.
Chuck's Stay in the Hospital
When Chuck is in the CIA hospital, the site used was the same as that used as the Westside Medical Center. If was the old North Hollywood Medical Center.
Sarah Goes to Dr. Dreyfus's House
Sarah goes to the CIA doctor’s house to plead for him to help Chuck. Casey was already there. The house is located on the Warner Brothers lot.

Stephen's Cabin in the Woods
As the episode opens, we see a cabin in the woods. This is the cabin of Stephen Bartowsk, Chuck’s dad AKA codename Orion. This cabin is located on the Warner Brothers backlot in the area known as The Jungle. Many Chuck scenes are filmed in The Jungle. However, this particular view of the cabin is very different. The usual filming spot has been the front of the Cabin. But in this case it is the side. And, the portico has been taken off to expose a different look for the cabin.

In the next shot from inside the potico, you can see the wood porch and the fireplace. It’s very possible that the exterior of the vabin was enhanced by CGI.

The interior of Stephen’s cabin is the main part of the jungle cabin on the WB lot.
Ellie Waiting for Her Meeting with Justin
Ellie gets a call to meet Justin in Downtown LA at the Union Station. He is waiting on a bench in front of a fountain. The fountain is located in the courtyard of the Metropolitian Water District of Southern California (MWD) headquarter at 700 No. Alameda St next to Unition Station.
317- Chuck Vs. The Subway
Casey Meets Alex at the Diner
After Casey’s chance and brief encourter with Alex at Kathleen’s house, at Chuck’s urging, he seeks out Alex where she works at a local diner. The diner is the Lighthouse Cafe located at 508 W 39th St in San Pedro.
Chuck Sees Shaw Going Into the Metro Station
Sarah takes Chuck out of castle while Stephen works on Chuck’s governor. They go to a Farmer’s Market being held at a nearby Metro station. It appears that a farmer’s market used to be held at that location at one time. Chuck sees Shaw and follows him into the Metro station. The Metro Station is the North Hollywood Metro Station located at 5377 Lankershim Bl (at Chandler Bl) in North Hollywood, located in the San Fernando Valley about 4.5 miles for Burbank.
Chuck chases Shaw down on to the metro platform where he sees him board a train. When the team and Stephan are back at castle, they sort of don’t beleive him. But his dad is able to view the footage of the platform and confirms that Shaw is indeed alive. The scene is shot on the actual platform of the North Hollywood Metro Station.
